“Three Johns” Jackball (For Power, Love and Self-Defense):

Embed one small piece each of High John, Little John and Dixie John into white beeswax and roll it into a ball. Wrap it around and around until covered.

Carry this lucky piece with you in a purse or wallet.

Dress it with “Three Johns” Oil (the above roots blended with almond oil).

“Freezer Spell to Shut Down a Stalker or Send Any Nuisance Away”

Obtain a human figure candle according to the sex of your enemy or rival and snip off the wick.

Choose either black or white to represent your intentions. Use black if the enemy is truly hated. Employ white if the matter at hand involves someone with an annoying but not malevolent obsession (in this case you wish them no particular ill but simply want them to go away).

Identify your target by creating a name paper using a small piece of brown paper bag. I save bags from the market for this purpose. Writing petitions and name slips on brown paper grocery sacks is traditional in hoodoo folk magic-for them “necessity was the mother of invention”. For us it still can be, but we also call it being "green“ or eco-friendly. If the target`s name is unknown write “unknown enemy” (or enemies), or “unknown stalker” on a small piece of brown paper bag.  

Otherwise you will call them by their first and last name. You will load this identity slip (along with a teeny pinch each of black walnut leaves, rue, shame brier & holy basil) into the base of the candle using a screwdriver (heated by a lighter to soften the wax). 


Hollow out a hole and reserve the wax you have removed. You will want to re-seal the hole once the candle is loaded.  Fold the name paper down until it is small enough to fit into the space you have created and insert.  Heat or re-soften the reserved wax and seal the hole. 


Note that when you seek to separate from a “thing” (not a human being) a plain black or white candle may be used in this spell, loaded with a petition paper that states, for example, “my unacceptable situation” or “the evil presence that now haunts me”.

Optional: you can also use the Seal of Mephistophilas (to control ones enemies) to load the figural candle. I have used seals written on parchment (in red or black ink) that double as  name papers. Simply write their name on the unmarked side.

Create a bath of Eko brand “Alumbre en Polvo” dissolved in a mixture of water and vinegar (or lemon juice.) Place it in a deep pan that will allow you to fully submerge the candle. Alternatively you can use a plastic Tupperware container that is rectangular in shape & has a snap-on lid.  

Once the candle`s base has hardened again it is ready to be placed in the bath pan facing up.  Remember that the solution should be high enough to cover the candle (add extra water if necessary) by about an inch, but do not fill to the top (three quarters full is about right). 


Leave it to soak for thirteen minutes exactly (use a kitchen timer to be certain), and while doing so recite Psalm 44 for protection from all evil.  Substitute Psalm 59 if you seek to be free of harmful temptations within yourself. Psalm 40 can be used if you believe that unclean spirits are the cause of your vexation. 


Remove the wax doll and wrap it in clear Saran Wrap (plastic wrap), then replace in it`s “freezer bath”. Cover the top of the pan with aluminum foil (again-shiny side facing in).  If using a plastic Tupperware “prison” wrap the figure in foil followed by plastic wrap and replace. Snap the cover back on

Next encase the whole shebang in the black garbage bag securing it with twine that will be tied off in thirteen knots.

Your tormenter is now ready to be buried in the very back or bottom of your freezer.

Bathe in Indigo Water (laundry bluing and water) and Dead Sea salt for a period of seven days afterwards.

Once through say a final goodbye because you will surely never hear from those you have now banished (no, not ever again.)

“Buffalo Ammonia Reversal Jar”:

To turn any situation around, write the problem you are dealing with, along with exactly how you would like the situation to change, on a piece of white lined paper. Tape this to the inside of a clear glass jar with the words facing in. 


Fill the jar with lemon ammonia, cap and shake vigorously. You can also tape a photo to the jar`s interior (also facing in).

Put this in the back of a rarely used closet (I put mine under the sink, behind the pipes). 


Take it out and give it another good shake twice a day, morning and evening.

Once you feel as if you can shake that darn thing no more it is time to dispose of it, and your situation will have altered itself for the better by this time. Any wrongdoing committed against you will be reversed and/or your fortunes will have turned for the better.

Discard the spell by throwing the bottle into a moving body of water. The current should be flowing opposite your position or away from you.

Alternatively, bury it in the earth and throw nine grains of guinea pepper in before sealing the hole. Urinate on top (or dump a bottle of urine you have brought with you from home).

"Handy Hexing Balls"

Light cedar incense before you begin.

Melt a black candle down in a saucepan or pot until it is completely melted into a thick warm consistency.

Stir in valerian (vandal root), blueberry leaves, and owl pellets (hardened owl shit that contains the bones of rodents) ground with devil`s shoestring. (know that later you will need as many bay leaves as you are making cursing balls). 


Allow the compound to cool slightly, then form scoops of the softened wax concoction into balls the size of a quarter. Mold in bits of black chicken feathers as you do so.

Let harden by placing them on a cookie sheet, each one on top of a whole bay leaf and as equidistant from each other as possible. Settle them in a cool area (use your freezer if you have the room).

Once hardened, dress them in cedar oil and roll them in blood meal.

Store each in a plastic freezer baggie with the bay leaf  it “cooked” on.

When ready to use one, take it out and place it on it`s bay leaf.

You can leave it on a “frenemy” or neighbor`s doorstep (or general property), underneath a co-worker`s desk and so forth.

Thy will be done! Enjoy the mayhem that will soon be wrought. 

"St. Anthony`s Fire"

“Compel a Thief to Return Stolen Property and/or Halt Ongoing Thievery”:

Stir three lumps of brown sugar and a pinch of devil`s claw into a glass of water and place, along with 3 pennies, in front of a picture of St. Anthony.  Light a brown candle to Saint Anthony and bathe in fresh rue and "Rose of Sharon" oil (a very blessed biblical oil sold by www.voodoodomme.com and soon www.luckymystic.com), every day for nine days. Say his (nine-day) Novena (add), followed by the prayer below. Ask for justice to be done, using your own words. This simple spell assures that it will be.

Make an effort to plant an Easter Lily (St. Anthony`s favorite flower, along with the very protective rue) in a public garden once St. Anthony brings you the kind of justice that often requires a miracle. If you have your own garden plant it there. Be careful with lily-it is poisonous to cats. 


An extra-special St. Anthony offering: plant a rue and flank it with an Easter Lily on each side. Bury a small statue of him very close to these. Take good care of these plants always, and keep St. Anthony in your heart forever. He is a wonderful saint, a blending of St. Jude and St. Michael. He offers us miracles, healings, and great power.

A Simple Shield of Potion and Powder

“To Protect Against All Evil Intention”:

To protect you and/or your loved ones from harm combine the following in a jar or bottle- 2/4 cup of Holy Water, one teaspoon vervain, two tablespoons kosher salt, and two tablespoons each of frankincense and myrrh .

Sprinkle this potion lightly around the family home, paying close attention to the corners. 


Follow by placing a powder made of the following in each corner of every room in the home-cascarilla (powdered eggshells), angelica root, star anise and Kosher salt.  


Anoint the bottoms of your shoes (and of those of your loved ones) with the liquid blessing and sprinkle the powder within them. Repeat as needed.

"Divination of the White Rose"

“Divination of the White Rose” (“To Silence those Pesky Divination Doubts”):

Use this spell to re-confirm what your intuition and/ or divinatory efforts have told you about any situation. It can also be used to choose from three (or more) instigators who could be involved in a predicament you are dealing with.

First take a divination-friendly bath that also possesses properties of uncrossing (all recipes below). Dress yourself in “Spirit Channel” oil. 

Place a fresh white rose with green leaves into a vase.

Method one: cut parchment paper into 3 squares. In red ink write “true” on the first, “false” on the second, and “grey area” on the third. These will be used to establish whether your feelings about the matter at hand are correct.

Method two: the same as method one except that you will create name papers, each inscribed with the names of potential culprits you are observing. In this case use as many leaves as there are names.

Dress a silver candle with oil and light this along with “Abra-Melin” incense.  Position the paper or parchment squares in front of the candle & incense.

Remove the rose from it`s vase for a moment and smoke it in the incense  (it is best to use powdered incense for billowing clouds of smoke).

Replace it in the vase and take up the first slip of paper. Smoke it in the incense for a moment, and return to it`s arrangement in front of the candle. Repeat with the last two (or more) squares.  Pluck three (or more) green leaves from the rose and position one on top of each paper using clear tape to hold them in place.

Do not water the rose-simply leave it to die. Once it has been dead for three days take a look at the leaves taped to the parchment cuttings. The leaf that appears greenest or the most alive will reveal your answer.

Note: If you end up getting “grey area” at the finish of this spell you will obviously need to re-think the results of your divination and try this spell again later.  If you still cannot divine a clear picture of your situation consult a professional practitioner (often it is easier for another to shed light on our issues since they are emotionally removed and can be more objective).
